Tarangire National Park is defined by ancient baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which draws large numbers of animals in the dry season. It holds some of the highest elephant concentrations in Tanzania and is excellent for general game and birdlife.
It lies on the northern circuit within reach of Mto wa Mbu and is often paired with Manyara and Ngorongoro.
