andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

The lodge About this lodge

andBeyond’s Ngorongoro Crater Lodge sits on the rim of the world’s largest intact caldera at 2,400 metres, perched on the crater’s edge with vertiginous views down 600 metres to the crater floor. Three separate lodges — South Camp, North Camp, and Tree Camp — each sleep a maximum of 18 guests in extraordinary banana-leaf-thatched suites with four-poster beds and rose petal baths. Each guest has a dedicated Maasai butler. The architectural style is theatrical Maasai surrealism — a conversation piece as remarkable as the wildlife below. Descend each morning in private 4×4 for your exclusive crater experience.

Dry crater floor, busiest months

The crater's resident wildlife is on view essentially year-round, so the real seasonal difference is conditions: dry and dusty, and the most crowded months to descend to the floor.
