Robin Pope Nkwali Camp

The lodge About this lodge

Robin Pope is one of the founding names of the Zambian safari industry and Nkwali Camp on the Luangwa River bank is his most celebrated property. Eight open-fronted rooms face the river where hippos bask 30 metres from the breakfast table. The camp pioneered the extended multi-day walking safari in the Luangwa Valley and the guides trained here set the standard for the profession across southern Africa. Night drives are included and the nocturnal sightings — genet, African wild cat, and regular leopard hunting — are among the best in the valley. Genuinely expert guiding in a beautiful location.
