Zuri Zanzibar

The lodge About this lodge

Zuri Zanzibar is a boutique beach property on the north coast’s Kendwa beach — a stretch of coast that stays swimmable at low tide, unlike many of Zanzibar’s east-coast properties. The 40 rooms are designed with Swahili architectural elements and local materials, elevated on wooden platforms with sea views from private terraces. The restaurant sources fresh fish and seafood from the morning market and serves it with Indian Ocean spice influences that are genuinely authentic. The infinity pool faces west for the legendary Zanzibar sunset. A seamless safari-to-beach transition partner for any Tanzania itinerary.

Windier, good for kitesurfing

The kusi monsoon picks up, bringing more wind and a choppier sea on the east coast — excellent for kitesurfing, a little more marginal for swimming at low tide.
