3-Day Kondoa Rock Art & Central Tanzania

Per person, land only. Park fees included where noted.

Day 1 — Arusha to Kolo. Transfer south on the Dodoma road, roughly five hours. Afternoon briefing at the Department of Antiquities office and a first shelter visit.

Day 2 — Kolo shelters. Full day among the painted sites — Mungomi wa Kolo and the Kolo B group. Red-pigment hunter-gatherer layers overlaid by later white agro-pastoralist work, some panels spanning millennia in a single shelter. Several sites remain in active ritual use by local communities.

Day 3 — Return. Morning at a final shelter, then the drive back to Arusha.
